A History of Excellence
Established in 1995 as a sister company to IC Verify, Payment Processing, Inc. became a private enterprise the following year. The company filled a crucial niche in the integrated payments market by addressing the complex problems experienced by point-of-sale (POS) software developers and the merchants who used their products. At the time, the industry was notorious for allowing developers to “go it on their own” as they struggled to integrate payment processing technologies into their applications. It was common for merchants to receive minimal support. PPI responded by taking ownership for the payments function—from initial integration to post-deployment support. This combination of technology and service was visionary. Developers, for the first time, could count on technical expertise, ensuring a customized, flawless integration of payment processing into their applications. Businesses knew that if they ever had a question on concern with the payments solution, PPI was there no matter what.
